Sheesh, you must be a busy beaver!

I don't want you to feel pressured about it. Things will happen when they happen.

Unfortunately, I don't have AIM. :3 But if you have MSN, or just want to email me any updates, R.Harrison@msn.com should do the trick.

"So then I told him: 'Hey, it's not like I knew she was your daughter. You should be a responsible parent and tell her to dress more respectably and maybe I won't mistake her for a hooker next time, or better yet you could make some money right now,' then the bastard takes a swing but I'm too fast you see... Idiot missed out on a good financial opportunity" said a small man, looking more like a child from behind, but with a voice big enough to barely be heard over the singing and general merrymaking of the local bard and his crowd.

"Be a doll and pour me another, would you toots?" said the man, from the front clearly too haggard to be a child as he flipped the barmaid a gold coin. "Take half for the drink, and the other half for tonight!" he exclaimed, before feeling the familiar and no less painful then usual sensation of a deceivingly powerful slap to the right side of his face.

"So I'm a prostitute now, huh Wade?!" bellowed the young barmaid, face red with anger, a stark contrast to the golden blond hair braided roughly halfway down her back. "G-G-Garnet, I was just kiddin' around!" Wade pleaded, as he felt himself being pulled roughly forward by the collar of his cloak. "You know, you're lucky my dad owes you, or else I-" "Hey uh, so did I ever tell you that you have such beautiful hair?!" Wade blurted out, cutting her off.

Yeah, that'll do it... Wade thought to himself, as he felt the tension of Garnet's grasp loosen and eventually subside entirely.

"Whatever..." she said, sliding his drink towards him "but you're done after that one you sick bastard!" "Sure, sure!" Wade complied, standing up off his stool and taking a massive gulp from his drink as Garnet, clearly still angered, turned around and directed her attention elsewhere. Luckily I still got the good stuff, you stupid wench... he thought, turning towards the main seating area of the tavern, lightly patting the flask of whiskey that lie under his cloak.

Name: Wade "The Rat" Irving
Age: 26
Weight: 100 lbs
Height: 5'6''
Race: Human

Appearance:

Wade is best described as a short, slender young man with a somewhat ratlike appearance. His bony, skeletal frame seems almost devoid of all character, save for his notably large nose, ears, and bushy eyebrows. Wade's deeply set eyes display a dark, nearly black coloration with a sparse black stubble dotting his face to match the short hair of barely an inch that covers his skull.

In terms of clothing, Wade sports a dark brown hooded cloak, seemingly a size or two too large, with a pair of snug fitting black pants and a white wool tunic underneath. His footwear features only a pair of rather well worn leather shoes that have most certainly seen better days. Around his waste is a rather crudely fastened leather belt complete with a solid brass buckle, and small metallic flask almost always filled to the brim with whiskey on his left, and a small dagger on his right.

History:

Growing up as a street urchin in Galil, where not even a one of the many copiously rich noblemen should spare even the scraps of their poorest meal, Wade was found on the brink of death by Tarsis Mendell, the leader of the infamous "Black Dagger" thief guild and recruited into their ranks, largely comprised of street orphans and peasants who had lost what little they had to their tyrannical lords. As such, Wade was taught the ways of stealth, deception, and thievery from an early age. What's more, is that he excelled at it, eventually earning himself the alias "The Rat" due to his appearance, fleet-footedness, and manipulative ways.

After numerous robberies of the noble households, holding some of the most valuable treasures in the land, Wade and the other members found themselves with a price on their heads large enough for any who slew them to retire many times over. Needless to say, over much time their hideout was eventually discovered, and the Black Dagger's met a very violent, and bloody end. Wade was the only member to survive the slaughter. How he did so is currently unknown, and he has thus far refused to comment in any detail to the few living who know the face behind the name. The details of his activities are scarcely known, and even less so since the fall of Black Dagger's.

Personality:

Wade is an incredibly seedy individual caring for little else aside from money, liquor, and prostitutes. He's an active gambler, and chronic alcoholic with a taste for whiskey in particular. In addition, Wade is an incredibly obsessive individual who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, and cares little for the needs of others. Well being generally rude, and dismissive of those around him, he can be very manipulative when he wants to be and excels at taking advantage of others.

Weapons:
- a small dagger, as Wade prefers to rely on his swiftness in combat situations as he is not very imposing.

Abilities/Skills:
-Expert in the art of silence and ambush, while maintaining a surprising level of swiftness.
-Break and enter abilities are second to none.

No Country for Old Men

The bad guy in that movie gave me the chills...

My favorite types of movies tend to be Sci-fi. I've always been a huge Star Wars fan. I think what appeals to me about Sci-fi is that in most cases, it could theoretically be possible.

As for movies I hate... probably romance and family comedies. They just tend to be more annoying then thought provoking.
14  Out of Character / Other Discussion / Re: Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty on: February 13, 2011, 09:16:45 pm
What I like about Starcraft is that it has an unlimited skill ceiling. As you say, not everyone can play it. It's an incredibly demanding game in which no one can truly master. The bottom line is it's just too hard for most people.

Actions per minute is a somewhat controversial topic. Low level players argue that high APM equals a good player, but the pros will tell you otherwise. There's definitely a correlation there, but the bottom line is that a solid strategy, unit composition, and sense of timing will trump APM every time. At least that's how it was in the original game. There's also a difference between having high APM and actually being able to utilize it properly. The vast majority of players with high APM actually only have a finite amount of actions that are actually of value.

Team Liquid is a great community for Starcraft players, and if you watch some of the casts, particularly Day[9] you can learn a lot. Makes the game a lot less intimidating I think.

That's a good recommendation. Looking over your work a few times usually turns up a few embarrassing mistakes.

It's a good opinion, and I'm thinking more along those lines myself.

Welcome to the site man. We're not even really up and running yet, so we don't have a lot to differentiate ourselves. I've got a lot of different ideas I plan to implement though.
