So, I've been wanting to watch me some great movies. Nothing romantic, or gushy. Something action-packed, you know? Like...Bruce Willis/Die Hard type crap. Maybe something filled with gore and screams. NOT Paranormal Activity. Something like...Halloween (the old Series). Maybe like The Hitcher or Wolf Creek?
I don't know about you, but I am a huge fan of the horror movies that revolve around everyday things. Things that some people wouldn't even think about. Take the Hitcher, for example. You have a boyfriend and a girlfriend coming home from college on vacation. Well, they are stupid and pick up the guy that they accidentally hit with their car. Well, guy is actually mean and kills the dude, or girl, or both depending on which version you saw. Yay for two semi's pulling people apart! That movie is basically the fear of anyone who picks up a stranger. Hell, they're strange, hence the name 'stranger'.
Another movie I like is Wolf Creek. In case you haven't watch it (Foreign Film), it's about a group of people getting stranded in the Outback of Australia. They're having car trouble and a friendly man shows up to help them fix their car. Well, dun-dun-dun. It's really good, too.
Honestly, I don't know what I rambled on and on about. Well, I do. But I don't know the point of this thread. Haha. Could just be because I'm bored and don't want to go to work.
So, here is what I leave you with:
What are your favorite types of movies? Why? Or Pick a couple movies that you like and tell why you like them. Or Pick a couple movies you hate and tell why. Or, just discuss some movies.

My favorite types of movies tend to be Sci-fi. I've always been a huge Star Wars fan. I think what appeals to me about Sci-fi is that in most cases, it could theoretically be possible.
As for movies I hate... probably romance and family comedies. They just tend to be more annoying then thought provoking.

I don't have a favorite type because I love all types of movies. I'm a bit of a film nerd/buff. However, Romantic comedy should die a horrible, horrible death.
A few of my favorite films: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Gladiator Snatch Cool Hand Luke The Dark Knight Unforgiven No Country for Old Men
I could list all day.
